Caiden Breeden English II Career Paper 8 March 2024 Mental Health Counselor In the future, I want to be a mental health counselor. I’ve wanted to be a mental health counselor for a very long time. I love the idea of helping others through unseen problems and issues, just by talking. As a mental health counselor, I’ll be able to do that for multiple people, as well as get paid a pretty penny for it. With this career, making people's lives better will make me happier and healthier at the same time. Mental health counselors are for the people. Their job is to help people through mental/emotional distress and problems. They do this by talking them through their problems, after listening and coming up with solutions. They are able to diagnose patients with disorders if they think the patient shows enough signs of that disorder, as well. Lastly, they have to keep up with research and therapy tactics in order to ensure they’re being the best mental health counselor they can be (“Mental Health Counselor”).
