Mexican American immigrants are being treated with discrimination in the United States (US). Maybe in another universe, everyone will be civil with each other, but in reality, the US has shown prejudice towards Mexicans for centuries. Dating back to 1848, the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was signed. It stated that the US could annex part of Mexico. Since the decline of Mexico’s political state, immigrants have been traveling north for better opportunities. However, according to the research, Americans have shown repeated racist behavior toward Mexican-Americans through their actions and words.
