Protagonist of Antigone Many people still argue about who the true protagonist of “Antigone” is. Though it was never clearly stated in the story, it is widely theorized that the two in the story that are most likely to be a protagonist are Creon or Antigone. The people who say it's anyone else but Creon are wrong, he is the protagonist, this is because he has a lot of evidence in the text showing he is the protagonist, he learns a lesson in the end, and Antigone doesn’t fit the box of protagonist.
