Everyone has their own opinion but in my opinion social media puts the most pressure on teens to conform. For instance there might be this trendy stuff going around on social media that all of a sudden everyone is doing and the individual who isn’t might not want to feel left out so they go follow along with everyone else. Social media I think pushes teens the most in to conforming, not only social media but the television too, they have underlying messages that control the viewer and they of course don’t want to feel left out or different so what do they do? People might say “be yourself” or “be unique” and you might agree and all but in reality you still have the fear of being different, or being judged for not doing what others do, yeah in some occasions conformity might be a good thing. But mainly it pushes the individual in to doing something they don’t want to do.
