There are a multitude of issues that are not addressed when speaking about risk factors in particular. One of the primary risk factors that need to be addressed is the improvised neighborhood that those juveniles have to return to after being adjudicated. Going back into the neighborhood that attracted you to the criminal behavior can be hard for most juveniles not to indulge in those behaviors again. One of the main protective factors that have a major influence on a juvenile is the support of family. Not every child that gets adjudicated comes from a family with a criminal background. Some kids are just victims of peer pressure and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Juveniles that are victims of that can sometime be referred to alternative detention program. Attending schools that are supportive can also be considered as a protective factor. It allows the juvenile to be able to go back into that environment as well as feel support and be allotted the opportunity to get things back on track. That experience alone can help one build
