That’s a sad but true statistic. Young adults don’t want to make their friends feel bad or upset them, so they’ll just go along with it while risking their own life at the same time. Some people believe that the driving age shouldn’t be higher. The reason to that answer is the fact that all teen drivers are like their peers who stereotypically text, drink and/or talk on the phone while they are behind the wheel of a car. That is true, but however, the driving age be raised will protect the lives of the innocent, experienced teen drivers that actually pay attention to the road and those who are able to pay attention to all of their surroundings. Also, supporters of keeping the age limit the same believe that those who drive irresponsibly should either get points taken off of their licenses or just revoke the person’s license until they are 18. Every teen should wait because a car is not a necessary need for transportation, and it will make streets and roads safer to drive on knowing that novice drivers aren’t driving unwittingly on the road. Teens under 18 in Ohio shouldn’t be legally allowed to drive
