a) Diversity- The concept of diversity encompasses acceptance and respect. It means understanding that each individual is unique, and recognizing our individual differences. These can be along the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs and political beliefs.
b) Equality- The state of being equal, especially in status, rights, or opportunities
c) Inclusion- The action or state of including or of being included within a group or structure
d) Discrimination- The unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people, especially on the grounds of race, age, or sex
AC2:
One example of discrimination in the work place can be due to gender. Such situation could arise, when an employee earns more money than that of the opposite sex despite holding the same amount of experience, this is a deliberate discrimination. Discrimination can also occur inadvertently, for example, an employer could ask for all employees are clean shaven, which, could be a disadvantage to some religious groups.
AC3:
By making sure everyone is given the same opportunities regardless of any disability the may have. i.e. hearing problems not being bias towards anyone.
