America has many job opportunities to choose from. Every year Forbes Magazine selects the top 100 companies to work for but the top 10 we are going to discuss in further detail and why they are the most popular. There are several things go into consideration to be a part of the top companies in the country. Forbes looks into profit and revenue, innovation, quality of management, personal needs, and interpretation. “Major corporations like Forbes frequently release lists of the best companies based on salary, benefits, turnover, and other criteria. Making such a list on your own will give you an idea of whether or not the companies you are considering working for are a good fit for you. Before you can do this the evaluation you need a set of criteria upon which you will base your company analysis.” -Wanda Thibodeaux Quicken loans ranked 10th is a company client focused and helps thousands with their home loans every day. Team members as Quicken Loans likes to say instead of using employees perform in areas of mortgage banking, marketing, and event management. Beyond medical and dental plans Quicken loans offers so much more to their team members like 11 paid holidays per calendar year, family of company discounts, free secure parking, cappuccino, slushies’ and popcorn, onsite amenities, fresh fruit delivered weekly, and paid time off to volunteer at your choice, and free educational seminars. CHG Healthcare services 9th on the list are one of the largest providers of healthcare staffing in the country. They are headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah and employ over 1400 people and they do business in all 50 states. “When your day-to-day routine provides life-saving healthcare to those who need it most, it’s easy to get excited about what you do”-CHG. Some of the benefits include flexible schedules, wellness pays, smoking cessation program, extended illness bank, PTO gifting program, and a rock your body challenge. Recreational Equipment (REI) is 8th on the list and is focused on being outside and playing. They know first-hand the importance of quality outdoor gear. The company started with 23 mountain climbing buddies and they are the nation’s largest consumer cooperative. Every year since 1998 REI has been placed on Fortune Magazine’s list of the “100 Best Companies to Work for”. There are many things that set REI apart from other outdoor companies. They offer tuition reimbursement, challenge grant to encourage employees to do outdoor challenges, employee referral bonuses, adoption assistance, and national gym discounts. Camden Property Trust is 7th out of the top 10 companies. They are the largest publicly traded multifamily company in the United States. There are approximately 2,000 employees and the company is headquartered in Houston, Texas. The company continues to maintain high quality, geographically diverse portfolio of department homes, and trying to improve the quality of the portfolio through recycling and development. Many benefit opportunities for employees include employee apartment discounts, vacation suites, scholarship funds, referral programs, and flexible spending accounts.
