Imagine there is a 17 and 12 year old at home, one is reading and one is setting off fireworks in the living room. Which person are you going to think is more mature? Then you find out, it is the 17 year old using poor judement and lacking maturity as he lights up his parent’s living room with firecrackers. I believe that muturity is not dependent on a person’s age, but rather based upon their reactions to what life has thrown at them.
Whether you are 17 or 12-years old, growing up in the same or different households, it is your perception and reaction that helps to define your maturity level. As you go through many different situations, both good and bad, you are going to develop more knowledge which in turn leads to the development
