Find Percent of a Quantity
1. Percentage = Percent X Whole amount
2. Change the percent to a decimal
3. Multiply the decimal by the whole quantity
EXAMPLE: Pt drank 25% of his 4 ounce juice, how many ounces did he drink
Change percent to decimal 25% = 0.25
Multiply 0.25 X 4 = 1 ounce

1 g = gr xv (15.432 grains) gr i = 60 mg (sometimes 65 mg)
1t = 5 mL
1 T = 15 mL = fl oz
1 fl oz = 30 mL = 6 t
1 L = 32 fl oz = 4 c
1 c = 250 mL (240) = 8 fl oz
1kg = 2.2 lb
1 in = 2.5 cm
Temperature Conversion
• F to C = Subtract 32 and then divide result by 1.8
C = F-32
1.8
• C to F = Multiply by 1.8 and add 32
F = 1.8 X C + 32
• EXAMPLES:
• 99.4 F = _______C
• 99.4 – 32 = 67.4 / 1.8 = 37.4C
• 39.5 C = _______F
• 39.5 X 1.8 = 71.1 + 32 = 103.1
