In order to accomplish this project, I will do my best to wake up at 6 a.m. every morning. I will have to remain consistent because best results are found when it is performed at the same time every day. Although it is often performed in nature, I will not feel safe by myself outside at six in the morning with my eyes closed. In order to refrain from becoming tense or nervous, I will simply perform my meditation in the hallway of the third floor of Morrison Hall. I will face the window, and I will have a pillow behind my back for support. Although there are several positions in which it can be performed, I have decided to sit upright with my legs crossed and my hands on my knees to avoid falling asleep. Although, if I do still begin to doze off, I will open my eyes halfway. Each day after I meditate, I will then pull out my notebook from this class and proceed to journal about my feelings. I will write down how I felt it went, how much sleep I got beforehand, and any changes in behavior or concentration throughout my day.
