In Social Studies this year our class learned about the positively economic change The economy of the 1800’s to the early 1900’s the economic changes has been in full force just like how they were when they sent Wilson in for the job of the president with the slogan “He(Wilson) kept us out of the war in 1916” and Wilson also tried to keep peace between the nations as long as possible.Because Wilson kept them off for so long there was a positive economy. there were a lot of changes from the times of the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s. Whenever the U.S. was in a war like some there is always something that has to happen in the end like tariffs the government had to raise money on goods. If the consumer wanted something inside the US the consumer would have to pay a tariff, and if the sender wanted to send something out the sender would have to pay an export tariff on the item the sender would like to send out. On top of that there was an unregulated economy in the U.S.. So there would be a free market for the people who wanted it and the U.S. also had an unregulated economy at that time.The U.S. have had an economic system that allowed supplies and demands to regulate the prices and wages rather than government policy.Labor laws were also big at the time and at that time the employees got there right to protest when they did not like it(pullman strike letter #1). The law says the rights and responsibilities to employers and employees. The law also sets the standards to working conditions and wages.The law also has some impacts like a tax on goods brought from the outside of the country and also export on objects sent outside of the …show more content…
