The worst Earthquake ever recorded In California was the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. It happened on April 18 at 5.12 a.m. and reached a moment magnitude of 7.8. Well, in the movie 10.5 there is a lot of technology used. FEMA plays a big role in disaster relief. The land features drastically change. While the earthquakes happens what follows it is millions of homes destroyed. Whole cities destroyed, and lots of lives lost.
They used a good variety of high tech things to measure the earthquakes, and to see what is happening. They used a seismogram to calculate the location and magnitude of an earthquake. They used a seismograph to record the vibrations of the earth.
