During the year of 1945 to the 1960s in America, the economic boom made a huge impact on the entire nation which was beneficial and not beneficial to certain groups in America. There was a transformation after the war which only benefitted for rich white people, but there were still some major changes after the war that affected other nationalities such as television, homes in the suburbs, and highways. After the war, everything kind of went back to normal before the war started which was women going back to the kitchens, certain groups such as Latinos, African Americans, and Native Americans treated very poorly, and soldiers who returned to the war got their jobs back which resulted to many people getting fired. During this time it wasn’t that difficult to look for a job since “unemployment was low” and the good thing was that the “wages were high” since people especially men felt that they deserved more since they have done such a great job and worked for such long hours (History.com Staff, 2018). The middle class were starting to get more money than before and were able to buy more things since there was a big variety of consumer goods. Another class or group were also improving which were the veterans since the GI Bill “was the act of providing loans to veterans to help them establish businesses, buy homes, and attend college” (History.com Staff, 2018). There was also a boom in babies which means that after the war many couples or women were having babies. For example, highways are used everyday by everyone in the nation to get to work, school, and more. If highways weren’t invented then transportation would be harder and longer. Traffic would be if there were no highways. Furthermore, television and the beginning of cell phones affected all humans throughout the nation because more channels have been made to watch and cell phones are used everyday. Television and cell phones have been improved throughout the years such as more tv shows and movies to watch. There are different types of televisions and cell phones to choose and use now. There are more gadgets or apps to use on a tv and cellphone. If television or cell phones weren’t invented back then it would be a huge problem since inventors wouldn’t be able to improve it. Suburbs also made an impact since there are still many people especially families who live in suburbs since there are nice neighborhoods and schools. Suburbs are important because they are affordable well it depends where each person lives, but the suburbs are cheaper than the cities. Many groups of ethnicity are treated way better than before especially African Americans. There is still racism towards certain groups, but it’s still better than before since they aren’t segregated anymore. Women are also treated better than before since women are now working as much as men and can also be higher than men in
