Dear Class of 2015 I would like to thank all of you for the opportunity to speak to you all. Although I cannot be here with you due to the fact that I died in 1935. I would like to congratulate you on your completion of your biggest step in education yet. Hopefully my thoughts and the events I share with you will help you throughout life. I will share some advice with you all but; the number one thing I can share with you is that family and education is the most important thing in your life. I was born in Hartford, Connecticut on July 3, 1860. My father left my family and it was very hard for my mother to raise two children on her own, because of this we moved around a lot and my education was hurt badly (www.biography.com). My second piece of advice is that you should always talk about your problems to your family or spouse. My husband never really like to talk about problems so he kept them bottled up which led to his depression. He had tried many different treatments due to the fact that no one knew the best way to cure depression. This had eventually led to the downfall of our relationship. My third and final word of advice is to always stand up for what you believe in and that there is always to fix any problem that you have. I was a women’s right activist during the 1800s through the early 1900s. I believed so much in what I was doing that I wrote about it which led to the success of women’s economic independence.
