It is evident from these two examples that Juno does show motivational sources of generativity. The second model is cognitions and plans which is involves concern, belief and commitment. (3) Juno had originally planned on getting an abortion, but after hearing information from Su-Chin, Juno then begins to believe against abortion. Juno begins to have belief in the species and that she should “have this baby and give it to someone who needs it!” that way she is not taking away a life while following what her culture accepts. This is a great example of generativity because not only is Juno showing she has cognitions, but she is also shows she has motivations to do good things. (4) Another example of Juno showing cognitions and plans is by deciding to put her baby up for adoption. Juno commits to carrying the baby to full term knowing its not going to be a pleasant experience. This shows generativity because Juno is willing to still carry the baby “despite the fact [she is] in a fat suit [she] cannot take off. Despite the fact everyone talks about [her] behind [her] back”. She is willing to be uncomfortable
