1.1 - Human Resources Profession Map
The Human Resources Profession Map (HRPM) is an online tool developed by the
CIPD to outline the knowledge and activities that human resources (HR) professionals require to provide value to their organisation. This sets the standards for all HR professionals and allows them to assess their current performance levels and areas which need improvement. The HRPM is made up of ten professional areas, eight behaviours, and four bands of professional competence.
At the centre of the HRPM are two professional
