They talked to us about how 4-H was started, “The Tomato Club” for girls or the “Corn Growing Club” for boys. A great deal of people think 4-H is just about agriculture, it is so much more than that. 4‑H empowers young people with the skills to lead for a lifetime. It’s a research-based experience that includes a mentor, a hands-on project, and a meaningful leadership opportunity. I knew from this day forward I wanted to be a 4-H Agent.
From fourth grade till my senior year, I participate in multiple activities with 4-H. I camped at Rock Eagle one summer, volunteered with younger 4-Hers, and done a project for District Project Achievement. The one that had the greatest impact on my life was volunteering, I observed the passion the younger kids had for 4-H just as I did when I was their age. I never arrive to work on time nor do I leave work when it is time to go home. I take it upon myself when my secretary is running behind to call parents when it needs to be done. I care greatly about people, becoming personal is in my nature. Yes, he helped his patients but it seemed like he didn’t care if they lived or not. I help my 4-hers but I show compassion to all of them. He was organized with his notes and what he was obligated do that day. As I wish to be organized and have my day plan out, there is simply not enough time in the day to sit down and plan my day. Although, he has more advantages over the lady intern like extra free time and probably enjoys his extra family time as well. In addition to his advantages comes disadvantages, when it comes to his job he won’t get to enjoy his patients like she does. The patients he waits on may not like he is not as personal as
