In beginning, On September 11, 2001, also known as 9/11, America was attacked by terrorists. This was one of the saddest days in American history. There were a lot of things happened, but mainly that over 3000 people were killed in New York and Washington D.C. A lot of firefighters and emergency service members risked their lives to help the people in need. The group that attacked the World Trading Centers was called Al-Qaeda. Al-Qaeda hijacked four planes and attacked the WTC. In total, America was hit by five planes on this day in various cities across the country.
