A Genetic Counselor is someone who advises individuals and families with the support to make decisions, help with information, education and reassurance. They can also help and assist in researches that are concerning genetic conditions or for genetic counseling. Meetings can occur in clinical and/or non-clinical settings. They provide support in many situations which also includes prenatal and childbirth care, pediatrics, oncology, and neurology. To obtain this career you will need a masters given from the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC). It must be a accredited graduate-level program to be able to be hired by any employer. You must also be licensed to practice in certain states as well. There are not more additional
