There are numerous personal and professional benefits to be gained by obtaining my certification in the field of gastroenterology nursing. With my certification, I will a higher potential for advancement, greater networking opportunities, and will stay up to date with the latest research and knowledge in the field. Networking will allow me to participate in gastroenterology nursing events and will offer me additional leadership advantages.

In addition, certification offers proof that I have attained a high level of knowledge and that I understand the standard of practice in gastroenterology nursing. Becoming certified will give me a great sense of personal satisfaction, both in my ability to provide excellent care to patients and also in the accomplishment of the certification itself.

Finally, as a certified nurse, I will demonstrate that I have met the requirements for taking the exam, and that I have a depth and breadth of knowledge that comes with the credentials. I will learn how to best care for my patients and will learn excellence in patient safety and education. I will be able to operate more confidently knowing that my knowledge in this specialty has been validated and by consequence will be able to improve patient satisfaction. I will feel a great sense of satisfaction by being equipped to provide excellent care to patients.
