“Wake up you piece of dirt,” shouted Ryozo Gushiken! Ryozo was the leader at a prisoner of war camp in Japan. It was the year of 1942 and America was in the heat of the war against Germany and Japan. Desmond HighTower had been captured by a Japanese war ship and taken to this camp to serve long and hard labor. Desmond along with many other colleagues had been taken to this POW camp. “What is going on,” Desmond asked? “Your Parents have been killed in a car accident,” replied Agent Carlson. Desmond thought to himself, what do I do next, he had two options he could move on with his life and become a great person or he could sit down and complain about it. Ryozo waited until all of them had reached the middle and then shouted at everyone, “Bow down to the leader of our camp!” Desmond refused to do this and Ryozo walked up to him. Ryozo said, “Look me in the eyes!” Desmond did just that. Right when he looked Ryozo bashed the butt of his gun in Desmond's face. Ryozo Gushiken said sternly, “Never look me in the face again, you disgust me you American.” Instead of obeying orders Desmond looked right at the soldiers eyes and gave Ryozo the death look.
Ryozo grabbed Desmond by the ear and yelled out loud, “This man does not show any respect, because of his action all of you will throw your hardest punch you can right at him.”
Desmond looked around there was over 400 POW prisoners at this camp. But instead of complaining he took the punishment like a man.
After that incident Desmond was treated like a piece of dirt for 3 whole years until America had won the war. It was time to go home for Desmond. Not many people had survived the incredibly torture for the 3 years that Desmond was in the camp. All Desmond could think of anymore was what had happened to all of the people I served with.
