The line that most of us remember from the movie "A Few Good Men" is "You can't handle the truth." I believe in speaking truth to people. Even when it is a hard conversation, you still need to speak truth, but also make sure that the person is in a position to receive what you are saying. If they are not willing or in a position to accept it, you are just talking and it could cause confusion versus helping the situation.

I believe in explaining things to kids, but also make sure what you are sharing is at an age appropriate level. Age appropriate level also depends on what the child has been exposed to. I can remember having some conversations with
