One night, in cold New York City, a young scientist named Alex Warpo continued his work on an amazing machine. Everyone at school said he was a nerd. He always stuck to the books and didn’t talk much. But what they didn’t know was that he was constructing a time machine! Alex had been working on this for about two years now, day and night and it was just another night in his garage until he finally flipped on the switch. The Whole room began to vibrate, and Alex was going crazy! Suddenly, he was blinded by a bright light. When he regained his sight, he viewed trees all around him. It was freezing cold, and he saw enormous clouds of smoke in the far distance. The only thought going through his head was “WOW, my time machine actually worked!” …show more content…
Without it, he was going nowhere. So he ventured to the smoke. When he got there, he was horrified. There was the remains of dead bodies, guns, planes, and blood. It was now that Alex realized that he was in World War II! He didn’t go any further, but he salvaged some parts of crashed planes and fallen artillery. It took him a few hours, but he finally gathered together enough parts to strap together a battery. When he put it in its place, he heard this, “Help!” Alex quickly turned around and spotted someone crawling towards him. He saw the man was unarmed, so he went to him and helped him on his feet. He had just replaced the battery, but this man obviously wouldn’t survive without help. He hoped he could save this man, but he was just a teenager. The man didn’t speak, Alex figured he was under too much pain to bear. He didn’t have the right equipment to treat a wounded World War II soldier. He knew he had a choice.
