This book has a short story but the moral of the small book is not the short story itself but more the moral of the story. In "a message to Garcia" the moral is to be like Rowan. The message to Garcia needed to be dilivered, reguardless of weather, turrain, or even the time restraint. Rowan is a person that could be counted on when all hope would have been lost, they turned to him because they knew he would not ask questions but instead find a way to complete the mission at hand. If there were more people like this, then this would mean that there are more people that think for themselves, which in the end would result in various ways of completing the same mission.
