In the article “A Modest Proposal” the writer’s name is Dr. Jonathan Swift, his purpose is satire his intended audience is indirect of persuasion the reason is that he wanted to beneficial to the public audience to read his about ‘eating a baby’ and wake up the audience that the poverty people from Dublin, Ireland, and their society has affected the serious problems. In 1729, the Irish people in Dublin, they struggled their life since England oppressed Irish people and expected the money from them, but Irish people don’t have any money or trade anything to give to the landlords for the rent.
