I’ve chosen to write about short story “A Pair of Ticket’s” by Amy Tan. The story “A Pair of Ticket’s” is autobiographical story, written in the first person. The subject is a young woman, traveling to China with her father to reconnect with their family. Her inner conflict is an agitation and an anxiety over meeting her half-sisters and other family. The story takes place in China. The center character is visiting this place for the very first time, therefore the setting is new and foreign. In my opinion, the setting is adding to the inner conflict’s feeling of anxiety. The main character and her father are meeting huge part of the family that they haven’t seen in a while or never met before. I picked these two passages to show the central
