In “Domestic Terrorism” by Kurtis Lee displays domestic terrorism was ignored and is the era that is least understood in American history. More specifically, Lee argues that domestic terrorism was between 1877 and 1950, more than 4,400 black people died from lynching. Lynching is to kill someone by hanging with or without legal trial. He writes “After the emancipation of enslaved black people, there was this period of violence and terror and it was tragic.” Additionally he also says “Enslaved people were promised freedom and what they got was terrorism and it was horrific.
