Eva Morgan’s speech provoked many feelings. I initially was unsure of where she was and when she stated she was from Germany I felt surprised. When she explained that she had lived in the United States for almost ten years, it made much more sense why her German accent was not as distinguishable. I thought that a really important point that she talked about was that, as someone from another country, she gets tired of explaining where she is from constantly, especially since she has to tell her entire life story. It is a great lesson for me to keep in mind when working with clients. I hope I will let my clients bring up their cultural background if it is something they would like to discuss.
