Homer Barron succeeded in getting Miss Emily to leave her little bubble of safety when he befriends her and changes her view of her own little world. Now, instead of what father would do and the house, her view becomes wider as options like what I should do and the shops in town opens up to her. Thanks to him, she slowly digresses from her isolation and goes to town more often, that is, until he probably told her he has to leave. Even though she has experience change, Miss Emily herself still objects to change. This includes the fact that Homer Barron is leaving, because if he leaves, then things would change again. Miss Emily did what she did best and followed what she has done most of her life, blockade off others, now including Homer’s thoughts of leaving. She will make him stay and with his introducing her to a bigger world, she now has ways to do so. Her world became bigger but it did not change. She still did not want it to change so she isolated herself within the slightly bigger world. She was raised since young into isolation, she will stay in isolation.
