“ Despair meets Tragedy”

The conclusion I arrived at after reading “ The story of an hour” left my mind in a state of wonder and uncertainty. Could there be more to the story that our main character needed to reveal? On the other hand. In the story “ I stand here Ironing” it almost feels as if the mother of this very beautiful young lady was faced with some difficult decisions in has a young mother. This is a story that could be all to reliable. In both stories, we can see there is a sense of despair and tragedy at different points needless to say we can’t really determine the cause of it all.
Mrs. Mallard has a heart condition and her friends has just discovered some new that could cause her to has an undesired effect in her current condition.

As, her sister broke the news, her reaction was of a woman who has been imprisoned from a very young age, in my opinion. Back in the day young women were married off young not really given a choice of who they could marrier. There fathers would basically give their daughter's hand in marriage to the best suiter which meant for the daughter prison, in opinion. Then there is the thought of abuse “ Free! Body and soul free!” she kept whispering,(Kirszner & Mandell,2015).” what did she really mean by this, was she imprisoned or abused, what does it all mean? I can only see this her finally being free of it all she can finally life to the fullest when suddenly Mr. Mallard walks in to see his wife has gone on to the next life. His sister-in-law is there in disbelief of her sister passing, his friend standing there looking at a man he thought was dead, it was surreal to him, I believe. Much like the mother in “ I stand here Ironing” she here talking us a story about her beautiful baby girl Emily. Her life as a young mother was difficult, at the age of nineteen she had to support a newborn on her own. Emily’s father no longer wanted the responsibility of taking care of a family. Which left
