“A wild sheep chase: In Search of Haruki Murakami” is a documentary movie created in 2008 as a part of BBC one arts series called “Imagine” which is produced by Rupert Edwards and presented by Alan Yentob. It is important to notice that Alan Yentob is a very famous British BBC television executive and director, well known for his unique, informative and absorbing documentaries.
The movie is rather informative. It generally tells about Murakami’s life in Tokyo and his inspirations about the work. The purpose of the documentary, however, is not just giving the audience general information about Haruki Murakami, but to introduce Murakami’s amazing literature talent.
