As I read the first part of “A Woman After God’s Own Heart” I was reminded of where I use to stand with God. It makes me very happy I’m no longer there and excited to see where the Lord will lead me in the next ten years from now. For that to be possible, of course I must choose God’s way at every opportunity and commit to Him daily. I also must want to be drawn to God’s heart. Therefore, I should start a routine or a habit. As of now I pray every day during morning prayer, then as I drive to work I have my own personal individual prayer, later again before I eat and a couple of more times throughout the day. I love talking to God, thanking Him and telling Him how my day is going. However, when the weekend comes things can get a little rough, and I get distracted easily with other things and forget to have that time with God. Yet, after reading the first two chapters of the book, I would really love to start having more time with God. I know the amount of time I spend with Him is not enough. I want to start a habit of going somewhere quiet where I can set up my bible, music and notebook. I want the time with God to be longer. I would love to start this habit now …show more content…
Prayer can increase our faith. We can see it take action as we pray and witness God moving through our prayers. Prayer provides a place to unload burdens, problems and sorrows. God is the only one that can bless us by lifting that weight off our shoulders. But I did not realize that prayer can improve relationships until this trimester. It helps get our attention away from our self and on to others, focusing on what they need and what is best for them. As we pray for that person it gets us involved in their lives. After all, the results of praying for someone will advance that relationship, that’s why is always good to pray with our spouse. As I continue to read the conviction of having to pray more
