This debate between the two parties has gone on since abortion became an alternative to unplanned pregnancies. Right now in our country, even if our President was a republican candidate, there’s gonna have to be a lot of work done to make abortion illegal. Most of all Southern states are pro life, and so are their leaders. Judge Roy Moore of Alabama has stated many times his displeasure of abortion. In an Article it states, “He wants to make every abortion under any circumstances illegal.” (Kilgore) Also in the same article it takes a quote from Roy Moore itself about how a fetus in the womb is a life. Roy states, “Because a human life with a full genetic endowment comes into existence at the moment of conception.” (Kilgore) Which as a Republican and a Pro-life supporter I agree with his claims. However, I do not agree without doing my research to back up that a fetus at any stage of development in the womb is a life. Most traits are that it has a heartbeat, a developing brain, appendages, and lungs. So first of all, it has a heartbeat and breath in its lungs. However, they claim it is not a life, but that it’s property to the woman like a lamp. The worst part is if the baby is this far developed, the aborting of the fetus is inhumane and gruesome. In another article about Roy Moore, Moore states that, “We shouldn’t be able to suck a child’s brains out at the moment before birth.” (Kilgore) This is a summarization of how far they let the pregnancy get before they abort the baby. The abortion concludes the ripping off of the limbs, crushing the skull, and sucking out the brains. By the way these fetuses have developed nerve endings , so they feel every bit of it.
