Abraham Lincoln Assassination Unjust Analysis

I believe that Abraham Lincoln's assassination was unjust. I understand that some people may say that the assassination was justified because he had "racist thoughts" like "send them back to Africa." But Lincoln's position on slavery was that it was wrong and honestly he didn't know what to do to end it entirely and didn't know what to do for the blacks once slavery ended. Lincoln does not really see black people as naturally belonging to the American society. He stated that they should send them back to Africa and this was not an unusual position at this time. Blacks were kind of an alien group who had been uprooted from their own society and unjustly brought across the ocean. I don't believe that he was being racist in saying that blacks should be sent back, it's almost like saying a dog or another animal doesn't belong in a cage that they should be able to be in a natural setting for that animal. Lincoln first supported the idea that slaves should be freed and then encouraged or required to leave the United States. Lincoln also supported repealing slavery gradually and possibly compensating slave owners for their losses after slaves were freed. It was not until the Emancipation Proclamation, which declared the freedom of all slaves and then named 10 specific states where the law would take affect, that Lincoln publicly rejected his earlier views.
