William Thayers views on Lincoln are both significant and insightful. He shows our 16th president as this complex individual. Showing us and highlighting how Abraham Lincoln is very intellectual and how he loves to read. Not only that, but how Abraham Lincoln has astounding leadership skills. Thayer shows Lincoln's quick thinking and decision making when the Civil War was going on. He also paints a very clear picture about Abrahma's feelings and personal opinions about abolishing slavery and his love for the people. Another standout feature in William Thayers biography is the way he brings Abraham Lincoln's world to life. He has a gift for writing descriptions. He also has a gift for using all the correct anecdotes. He has a way of saying that I can’t put into words: It’s like Thayer transports you to the actual part of time. However with every Biography not everything is perfect and some items are not focused on the most or aren’t focused on whatsoever. There are some things that I wish Thayer delved deeper into. It seems as though the political preservatives mentioned in Abraham Lincoln's life overshadow the story in some
