Sexually active teens have higher rates of depression than teens who do not have sex. Two-thirds of adolescents wish they would have waited longer. Sex is everywhere. T.V shows, movies, songs, advertisements, magazines, stores, and social media. When kids are little they look up to someone like Spiderman or Cinderella. Teens look up to adults because they want to experience freedom. Sex gives a little taste of that freedom and adrenaline. But being an adult includes more things than just that though. It includes a car payment, childcare and expenses, student loans, house mortgage, having a stable job, and taking care of children. Teens are not ready for these types of responsibilities and having an unplanned child will make plans disappear and becoming an adult much faster.
Does the High School sexual education program teach enough to students? Should schools be allowed to promote abstinence?
