Currently, the United States of America has a State and a Federal level of law enforcement. Each of these levels is controlled by the either the state or federal government. In addition to these levels can be broken down into smaller organizations. For example, at the state level you will find organizations like Police Officers, Corrections Officers, County Sheriffs, and State Troopers. At the federal level, some of the organization you will find are the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Bureau of Prisons to name a few.
