The concept of accountability entails one party being liable to responsible for its activities and for explaining or answering for their actions (Frink & Klosmoski, 2004). When you consider healthcare specifically you are looking at a complex workplace that is both multi-layered and multi-dimensional when you consider all of the potential types of workers that are involved across a patient’s entire continuum of the at your organization. Healthcare is a purposeful entity making accountability an essential component in the workplace, all employees must account for his or actions.
