Achilles at the age of fifteen lead the entire force of the Myrmidon army which consisted of fifty boats each with fifty men, or 2500 soldiers. Achilles martial prowess was instrumental in taking the fight to the city of Troy, for when Achilles withdrew his army from the war, Hector and the Trojans pushed the remainder of the Grecian army back to their boats and were on the verge of victory. While Achilles has mostly been regarded as the better warrior, Hector could be considered as a better leader.
