Throughout history, human beings have learned the importance of listening as it prevents miscommunication. As a healthcare professional, I would know if a client has heard what I intended to say through their body language. Furthermore, I will ask them to repeat what I said to confirm my intended message was heard correctly by the receiver. Hearing involves listening enough to catch what the person is saying. Whether you are a healthcare professional, mother, an educator, and so on it is important to have a good listening skill. On the other hand, listening can be difficult so if I think a client received the wrong message would be to apologize to the client, repeat my intended message and ask the client to repeat the message so I can ensure a clear understanding. Understanding meaning making sure the client take the intended and understand it their own
