I am applying for Emporia State University’s Masters in Special Education, Adaptive Concentration. I seek this degree to further my education and knowledge to better the education and knowledge of my current and future students.
As a middle school science teacher, I observe a wide variety of strengths and weaknesses in all my students. I believe it is part of my job to reach every single one of these students. My master’s in special education will lead me to be able to enhance students’ strengths and support their struggles to improve them. Through collaboration, hands on learning, and discovery, special education students are best able to learn science.
