Adorno was very much an eccentric theorist. Adorno wrote volumes on such philosophical melodies as reason and morality, he also stretched his writings and critical focus to include mass entertainment. Adorno took mass entertainment very seriously and was among the first set of philosophers and intellectuals to recognize the potential social, political, and economic power of the industry. Adorno saw 'the culture industry' as establishing a major source of authority within multifaceted, capitalist societies. His aim was to show that the very areas of life that many people believe they were genuinely free; free from the demands of work actually disseminates domination by denying freedom and barricading the growth of an acute awareness. Adorno's
