This Amendment will help secure America in the face of great adversity. Your amendment will ensure that the office of the president and thereby the position of commander in chief remains unchanged throughout the course of a world war or a war on American soil. This document is meant to explain and defend the necessity that this become law. Having a guiding light of unchanging leadership would strengthen the country in the case of invasion or global warfare. Between 1933-1945, Franklin D. Roosevelt leads the nation and was part of the leadership guiding the free world to victory in a world war, only his death prevented him from giving his all for the cause of freedom and the United States. We need that kind of leadership in the face of such adversity. Should the clouds of war ever cover the world once again or the destruction of foreign armies ever corrupt American soil, a strong leader will be needed one who is unafraid of his political future as president and commander in chief. …show more content…
