In this day in age technology in school isn’t just a luxury it is a necessity. With that being said being in a classroom with five computers but only one has internet access is unreasonable. There are plenty of educational software and websites that teachers can use in order to help students understand subjects. However, being able to only use one computer wouldn’t be helpful or fair to all students. The first step I would have to take in order to increase Internet Access in the classroom is getting other teachers interested in the task. I’m sure I wouldn’t be the only teacher that felt that this needed to be done, and it would be helpful when stating my case if there were others that felt as strongly as I did. It would be seen that this is a topic that has been carefully thought through, discussed, and brought to the attention of others. Next, I would present my concerns to the principal. After getting the support of the principal I would create a presentation to present to the district office. I believe that presentation is the key. A good, well thought out, informational presentation could get the outcome you desire. A good presentation to your principal to get them on board is a good start.
