Early Life Aerial Powers was born and raised in Detroit Michigan on January 17, 1994, she was raised by her parents Cecelia and Juan Powers and also had a brother. When Aerial Powers was a child she started young in sports, she first started boxing and continued boxing for a couple years. In high school she played basketball 4 years straight for varsity at Detroit Country Day. Aerial Powers strived for greatness and lead her team 4 times for regional champions in basketball. Powers graduated in the year of 2012 and got accepted and had a scholarship for playing basketball at Michigan State University and rightfully started her basketball career.

The second year for her basketball career was one of her best years in college she scored around 21 points and 10 rebounds each game. After the hole season was over she was named first player in history to be named all big ten three times in a row. In her senior year of college she entered the WNBA draft but didn't tell any of her fans just in case she didn't make
