Since 2010, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) has led to a historical advancement of health equity in the United States ("Fact Sheet," 2022). The Affordable Care Act may have its advantages because it gives equity to everyone, allowing everyone to have access to healthcare, including poor people who have low healthcare coverage that is affordable to them. On the contrary, disadvantages are also present, like the lack of information about the people. The lack of information stresses the people, because they need a clear picture of the ACA. The ACA is mandatory, leaving people no choice because everyone has to acquire insurance. Roland (2019) states, "Conservatives objected to the tax increases and higher insurance premiums needed to pay for Obamacare."
