“In the fall of 2012 at Premont High school, they decided to rid of school sports which led to 80 percent of the students passing their classes in the first semester compared to 50 percent of the students in the previous fall.” (Ripley 11). According to Ripley, Nathan, who once was a quarterback for Premont’s football team, stated, “There was all this extra time, you never got behind on your work.” (Ripley 11). This data goes to show how important study time is, so schools should officially remove school sports for the sake of American children.
