Social media plays a significant part in the advertising, and public awareness of animal suffrage in scientific experimentation. By displaying images of animal pain and neglect in labs, alongside images and videos of animal happiness and pleasure, a strategy for animal rights advocacy has been developed. Through such strategies, the public has become more connected—emotionally to these animals, become more aware, and in turn creates this opposition to animal testing (Dignon, 2014, p.1631). Through such strategies, individuals start to develop this emotional bond with these animals, and from this, feel a sense of responsibility to defend their rights. A common idea that I have noticed reviewing all the sources against animal experimentation is that, they tend to compare the idea of a house pet (dog or a cat), to common laboratory animals (rats, chimpanzees, rabbits, etc.). There are claims of new technology that are detailed enough to mimic animal anatomy through digital imaging, and computer stimulations (Ringatch, 2011, p. 308). PETA also supports this by stating that medical students use human-patient simulators, computer programs and different human based teaching
