Globally, it’s no doubt that as the average life expectancy has increased ageing workforce has become a prominent in the labour market. In nursing industry, ageing nurse workforce is considered to be one of the remarkable factors in that not only leads to nursing shortage but also influences health service and sophisticated field of nursing profession (Flinkman, Leino-Kilpi, & Salanterä, 2010). This ageing workforce is caused due to ‘Baby boomer’ generation who were born during World War 2 (Graham & Duffield, 2010). As nursing is involved in service industry, it is essential that specific investigator, nurse, is present to provide appropriate and valuable approach to health. This illustrates that greater impact of workforce occurs in nursing in other words, grey workforce cause various concerns; decreased resistance to physical stress, declination of productivity, ageing of nursing academies, ㅏ (Graham & Duffield, 2010). Due to confrontation of ageing labour workforce in nursing, Australian Nursing Federation Federal Secretary Lee Thomas stated “As a matter of urgency, Australia has to now start rebuilding a future nursing workforce to replace current nursing staff who will be retiring over next 15 to 20 years” ("Dire shortage of nurses and midwives," 2012). While nursing career is mainly focusing on the quality of services, greying workforce is treated as disadvantages and advantages (Graham & Duffield, 2010). Obviously, health is directly connected to task capacity which is why hospital or other health facilities are aware of elders. However, to alleviate the physical injuries, mature nurses are recommended to do short time activities and offered opportunities to flexible shift work (Henwood et al., 2012). Apart from physical problems, less accomplishment of task due to formal education and technology are another prominent concern of elders. To solve this machinery or learning difficulty, constructive and valuable interpersonal partnership between seniors and young nurses are highly advocated (McDonald et al., 2010).
